PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

I saw him in person once. He was in the audience during one of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame shows in 2001. Scary looking dude.

I am always reluctant to say "R.I.P." for people who were cruel to their children.

I was shocked when I first saw the topic title--was this about the guy who did "Steppin' Out" and other fine choons?

Phew, that's a relief...

Goodness, yes! I just now had my morning coffee! It's been a hellish first two weeks at my new job. Thank you for the correction.

I teach adolescent girls who, if they had fathers at all, were as nurturing as Joseph. Now for another cup...

I'm the same way.

Yeah, as a mother, I've made mistakes, as all parents do. Then there are the ongoing "mistakes" that kill children's souls and sense of security and belonging in the world. I'm sure that if we dug deep enough, as with John Cowsill's father, we would find the root causes of his cruelty to the the innocent, souls who depend on their parents for love and safety.  On the other hand, there are countless parents who, instead of becoming the abuser in order to feel more powerful after having been abused, choose otherwise. IMO, there is no excuse for the former and the wives who are complicit by standing by.
