Here's to the man! He gave me a great birthday gift for HIS birthday. He's performing at the gorgeous and acoustically perfect Kauffman Center on Nov 13th - the date I lost my Daddy in 2004 in Kansas City - perfect healing process. Now I can't travel because of my wonderful husband's health issues and my own back surgery. The timing is perfect. That song "Kansas City" was real. This place was a source of a special form of amazing American Jazz/roots of rock n' roll. The museum here is on life support (poor management for far too long). I worked for them in 2004 (while I worked in LA too - no wonder I'm so physically messed up ;-) ) ..
If you love the roots of rock n' roll and the heavy left hand of Kansas City Jazz (Julia Lee - look her up -

Kansas City is a great place to see Brian - seriously. Contact me if you want to visit. It's a cool city with amazing food and music. I remember being backstage many years ago and Carl was raving about "ballsy chicks" - Julia was one of the originals.
Love you Brian, family and all your amazing work. You're still such a hero to all of us.
