The songs I seem to get everytime I tune in is "I Can Hear Music" and "Spirit Of America".

I'm getting "Spirit of America" the most as well.  "Darlin'" is starting to gain ground.

To add to my previous "list of awe inspiring moments:"

1. I hadn't heard "A Young Man is Gone" over my car speakers or gone out my way to listen to it except when I spin the LDC album.  Wow... that song definitely sent a chill down my spine even though I've heard "Their Hearts Were Full of Spring" plenty.
2. I have been fascinated with the album and 45 version of "Cotton Fields."  I think the album version plays the most from what I can tell, but I have been listening to the two versions one after another in my free time.  Al definitely was right to re-record the song since it needed a bit more energy to make it as a single.  With that said, I really dig the Smiley Smile/Wild Honey/Friends production style on the album version. The detuned piano so prevalent on those albums as well as the laid back production style are rather pleasant and folksy.  At that point, I think that style had become rather second nature to Brian who, probably without thinking, slapped it down on that but it still makes for great listening.  I love the instrumental break that features just the piano on the album version.  It's such a chill, restrained sound yet very powerful emotionally.  When they re-recorded the single version,  they replaced it with vocal parts which gives it the energy needed and has more of the Beach Boys power pop feel that we were used to before SS.  I find it interesting how Al songs have been re-recorded for different release purposes.  "Help Me, Rhonda"  and "Cotton Fields" both got second looks.  Probably just a coincidence but still interesting.

Emdeeh, love the idea about hearing Good Music....Joan Jett did a great job on that one in the 80's with the Boys on backgrounds. Always thought that was her best song, and she had a lot of good ones. Always wished the official video for Good Music had included the Boys. Also, I don't know if Joan Jett ever performed Good Music in concert live and in person...I've searched You Tube and nothing there. It would be great to hear some of the Boys talk about recording Good Music, and another hard to find instrumental from the 80"s that they "sang" on, Summer on Signal Hill. They performed a 30 second or so vocal tag, and it was awesome.

Others have probably already confirmed this, but they definitely replay/reuse recordings of fan requests, as I heard the same recording of a guy requesting what he felt was a deep cut, "Wild Honey."

Some weird tracks tracks I've heard in the last day or two include "Carmen" by Bruce & Terry (which sounds like a lot of the B&T stuff; like a kind of murky vaguely BB-esque demo), and the "A Cappella" version of "When I Grow Up" from the "Keep and Eye on Summer" set. Also finally heard some other tracks from "Knebworth 1980."

Still catching "Marcella" at least once or twice per day even though I can only sporadically check in. That may be the "non-hit" I'm hearing the most. It still seems as though a good hunk of the play list is staying a bit stagnant (still hearing "California Girls" a million times, as well as "Girls on the Beach", "Darlin'", "Wild Honey", as well as some other key hits), and then the weird stuff that's mixed in is continuing to be rotated in and out more.

Surprisingly the one song I haven't heard yet is All this is That,  most times considered one of the best Beach Boys songs without Brian's participation. Have yet to hear it

I've heard that one 3-4 times and I've not been able to listen nearly as much as I want to.

I've also heard that same dude request "Darlin" about 4 times.
He can't be the only person to call in.

I've also heard multiple times that guy that feels that "Girl Don't Tell Me" (which was on "Endless Summer") is somehow an obscure, deep cut.

I wonder if they'll ever do a running list of how many times a song has played. Most played song has to be Surfer Girl....hear it literally almost every time I tune in.

Did it show any album art to go with Crocodile Rock?

It's pretty funny how multiple Bruce anecdotes revolve around money. When he talks about the session musicians, he talks about how much money they made, and during another interview segment, he talks about a car he bought in 1966 and the first thing he has to point out is what the car would be worth today.

No way that’s a real thing, is it?  Is there an opening for the New Jersey rep?  I’d totally do it.

Good news - heard All This is That.
Bad news - they pretty much cut out the ending

Yeah, segueing too quickly from one song to the next, thus cutting out way too much of the fade, has been an issue with many of the tracks on the BB's Channel - and is something I hope they'll correct soon.

I knew of course that BBFC still functions with a website offering tour dates, etc. I was just surprised to hear someone say they were a "regional rep" for the club, which sounded like something straight out of 1965. I'm unclear what such a rep would still be doing in 2018. I wasn't aware the club was still functioning as an actual "fan club" for the band in the way that even old fan clubs operated, meaning acting as a liaison between the band and the fans, offering "memberships" with goodies, etc. I mean, I don't really see any evidence of much beyond the website and, if the website is accurate, an "irregular" newsletter.

Fans could be forgiven for thinking the club was no longer functioning in much of a traditional "fan club" mode; the website literally looks like it hasn't been redesigned since 1997. Don't get me wrong, I actually like websites that load fast and get right to the point. But I can't say I've used the BBFC website (or the organization in general) for anything but checking tour dates since the early 2000s.

The "Peggy Sue" remake is fine; it's nothing special, but I appreciate that request selection more than the guy that asked for "Student Demonstration Time", or the people calling in asking for stuff they're already playing a dozen times per day (California Girls, Barbara Ann, Surfer Girl, I Get Around, etc.).

Should I call in and request "Darlin'?"  Seems like it hasn't been played enough.

I think they choose the "requests" that roughly match the playlist selection.  A confirmation bias of sorts.

I would imagine they're picking requests to actually play on air based on it sounding good ("I met my wife while this song was playing"), and also to line up with the playlist (hence re-using the same request recording multiple times).

But it also sounds like they're playing songs by request in some cases even when they don't play back the actual request on air.

I recall years ago requesting a music video on VH1 Classic for their "Request" show, and they actually e-mailed me and gave me the date and time they were playing it. The host even ended up reading my request on the air and making a whole thing out of the story behind my request.

But I'm guessing Sirius doesn't have the resources to call back each person and tell them "We'll be playing your request for 'Wrinkles the Dog' today at 4:19 PM."

I'm surprised they're not taking e-mail/web form requests, although maybe the idea is for them to record the requests so they can play some on the air.
