Hey I never realized Full Sail was actually pretty good!

And I find also that I am starting to like Don’t Hurt My Little Sister and I never cared for it previously

Wow, a real oddity I’ve never heard before playing right now.  Bruce Johnston (pre-Beach Boys) and Terry Melcher covering “Hawaii”.

... where’s the Smile Sessions/Brian Wilson Presents Smile material?

I've only listened for about 30 minutes so far, but I heard the BWPS version of Surf's Up.

Problem Child! I don’t think that’s ever made it to an album.

I was also surprised by the lack of Smile material, but I have heard the 1967 Surf’s Up twice, so I expect it will show up eventually.

Wondering if they'll play (or have already played) the really deep cuts such as stuff off their Celebration albums or such "gems" as Mike Love's "(Bop Bop) On The Beach"...

Friday afternoon, they played a string of Sail On Sailor-Angel Come Home-Think About The Days-'Til I Die - the latter prefaced by a snippet of Bruce describing that as his favorite song, the last time Brian put 100% of his heart and soul into a song, and a vocal arrangement that's "so good - it's scary good". Really cool to hear! Later that evening, I heard "From There To Back Again". Yesterday evening, they played "Beaches In Mind" and eventually "Seems So Long Ago", the final cut on Carl's first solo album.

REALLY hoping this turns some otherwise casual listeners onto the deeper catalog stuff!  Smiley

Problem Child was a commercial single I believe, though on CD only as a promo.

So it might be the first track they've played that wasn't released commercially on CD, and one of few (along with SIP) OOP tracks that have been played.

Caught the BB sirius channel for the 1st time last night. Pleasantly surprised by the more rare stuff they played.

But yeah, didn't hear any  Smile material.  For me, anything from Pet Sounds to Holland is the most creative for the band and my preference. I can appreciate Love You and some of the Surf/Car songs but not my favorites.

Hope to hear more soon. ( My wife has satellite radio in her vehicle only so I'm limited  Undecided )

Had to comment again, what a cool station! Finally heard Help Me, Rhonda with the session stuff. Yes it does have excerpts from the Album version as well as a quick snatch of some Single version stuff at first. One thing I noticed about the session excerpts was that most of it was from the Today and Summer Days sessions. Could Capitol be working on something and not telling us? Another clue I heard was the snatch of dialog from the When I Grow Up To Be a Man sessions, where it actually was audibly enhanced to hear it clearer like the SMILE boxset stuff. Why enhance a section of dialog instead of using a part more clearer. I also love the stories from the guys too,Mike even says admits that he and Brian wrote lyrics together and the music was all Brian. With this station and the project coming out in June I think we have more coming I have that feeling.

They’re playing “Hawaii” from the C50 live album, but it’s mislabeled “Catch a Wave.”

I hope so because I can't even find Celebration songs on Youtube and I'd like to hear them for the curiosity value.

But if we're talking DEEP, deep... how about Mike's "Be True To Your Bud" Anheuser-Busch commercial jingle? If THAT got played on the radio, I think we'd reach peak obscurity.

Great find, even better, since the online trial only lasts a few days!

I've actually tried to sign up for a paid account - it accepted my billing info but won't let me log in. This will allow me to listen until their customer support reopens tomorrow morning.

A listener from Latrobe, PA requested The Warmth of The Sun... perfect for this summer's night.

And apologies for the flood of posts and edits but as I'm only just now getting to listen I'm just now getting to contribute... the speeding-up is REALLY noticable on some tracks. The last track was the album mix of Break Away and it's got to be at least 15% faster than normal. For me this really works; they should have recorded it like this! Really makes it more upbeat in every sense. For other tracks I can imagine it sounds really awkward, but for me this sounds amazing. For the casual listener I guess this makes it a lot more approachable; for veteran listeners it's jarring, but sometimes (like this time) it can be a pleasant surprise. Do You Wanna Dance, the next track, is positively sedate by comparison!
