Hi everyone.
I read all the past posts about the Inside Pop film shown on Malcolm Leo's AB. I was wondering if any news came up with that footage, maybe someone has fresh news. Is there any hope to see those reels?

Watching AB or Endless Harmony (...I don't remember right now), at some point it's shown Brian for a few seconds playing at the piano wearing a dark red shirt, he seems really into the song he was playing. Everything was dark... Anyone noticed that? What track was that? If I'm not mistaken I've never heard that in any of the Smile tracks that I heard.

I just want to keep this topic "alive" and not forgotten. In one of those posts guitarfool2002 wrote about Smile: "What we don't know is greater than what we know" (or something like that). Nothing more true.

If I recall correctly, the footage of Brian in the red shirt is indeed from that night, but likely taken from a home movie camera (and played back at the wrong speed). There's a photo of Dennis holding it in the Smiley Smile/Wild Honey twofer liner notes.

The piano music accompanying that clip is not what Brian was actually playing.  As far as I know that was the night Brian made the studio version of himself singing Surf's Up (not the version from the Inside Pop documentary).
