The odds and ends collection. That label can be misleading since both volumes have some very VERY important tracks.
We will only include tracks from the collection which were recorded between 1967 - 1970. We will also be including the tracks from the Soundtrack for the film YELLOW SUBMARINE which were not included in other albums.
We will split the remaining tracks down the middle and create two tribes. The "
Piccadilly" tribe and the "
Twickenham" tribe. Each round we will vote off a track from each tribe.
I struggled with whether or not we should include "Let It Be" and "Across the Universe" since they were already included in Let It Be (albeit different versions). I have decided to only include Across the universe since Let It Be was the winner of Survivor#14 and it wouldn't look good cosmetically if we had two versions of the same song as potential contestants in BEATLES SUPER SURVIVOR where we will pit all the winners against each other in a final showdown.
The songs will be listed in the order which they were recorded. (the spotify link will have all the tracks but the sequence will not be chronological)

Piccadilly's winner surprused me. I thought Lady Madonna would surely win. My favorite of Piccadilly was voted out in the very first round!
Picking a favorite from Tiwckenham is hard. I love both of these songs. Don't Let Me Down has some great moments. It has an iconic history as part of the rooftop concert....
But I like the rhythm of Revolution. I like it's drive. I like that it was originally conceived as a tribute to the girl bands that were around at the time. I like that it has a complicated history.
REVOLUTION is my pick for Twickenham Survivor.
