https://www.yahoo.com/music/cranberries-singer-dolores-oriordan-dead-46-171801922.html

My daughter was a big fan...had to break the news to her today. Out of her musical idols, only Brian and McCartney are left  (David Bowie and Tom Petty were the others)

No cause listed as of yet, but she has had numerous issues over the past decade

She was definitely a unique talent.

I've always said that there has been a lack of distinct vocalists in music over the last 25 years, but she was the exception to the rule.

An unenviable task, Billy.

Sad. Forty-six for goodness' sake. A great shame whatever the cause of death.

Most definitely. She inspired Jaymie to start singing (like, singing for real as opposed to just for fun) in the first place.

Agreed.

Scott Weiland, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, and now Dolores. Damn...

All my favorites are dying. Scott obviously was different for me as that we had mutual acquaintances but f*** I feel like crying now.

I had a friend I had known since 1997 named Angie who looked just like Delores. Angie died last October of colon cancer.

I loved Delores’ music. No Need To Argue, from the album of the same name, is probably my favorite song of hers.

Very sad about this.

I'd severely underrated Cornell while he was alive. I regret that now.

For me, what hurts me is that she was one of my daughter's first favorite singers. In fact, "Zombie" was the first song I remember Jaymie singing and singing quite well. I have memories of her being in her car seat singing it! When she found out, she told me she felt like another part of her childhood was gone.
