I happened to play the Problem Child music video for a coworker today (I must really hate my coworkers!), and randomly paused on an image, that upon further examination, is so awful that I can't really believe it's in a music video by The Beach Boys: But then I remembered this scene of the band dressed as rappers in Wipeout: And the dog butthole shot unfortunately coinciding with my favorite guitar part in That's Why God Made the Radio: Wondering if anyone else has any examples? Yeah, I know that every frame of stuff like Summer of Love is cringeworthy, but I'm seeking screenshots of frames of specific weird oddities that might have otherwise gone unnoticed...

I think that scene from Wipeout is so bad it’s good.
I don’t know how to do a screenshot on the device I’m using, but there are a couple of scenes in the video for Crocodile Rock that consist of extreme close-ups of a person in an alligator costume ogling a woman’s breasts. There’s really no way you can’t cringe while watching that.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Yep, that's a good one Thanks for capturing it in all its glory! And I made a mistake in my original post - it’s clearly a crocodile, not an alligator...

Here’s a heartwarming moment from Rock & Roll to the Rescue. In what universe does a bald headed 40 something get the eye of a bikini clad 20-something? Why, in Beach Boys Video Universe, of course!

Looking at that "Wipeout" shot, it's amazing how skinny Brian got for a while under Landy.

Considering how incredibly nerdy and detailed, in a good way of course, that historians have been about documenting each and every musician on every single recording by this band, I'm surprised nobody has tried to do the same for documenting every actor and extra who has appeared in one of the band's music videos… I can only imagine the weird stories that actors and extras who were on the sets of these videos would have to tell.

I think if you look at any Vid with Stamos in it, at one point he inevitably tilts his head back for some reason, often in slow motion. Awful...

Virtually every frame the group appears on "Summer of love"
By the way, last night I dreamt I was at Stamos' place and I asked him for an explation for the autotune on Do it Again and other productions crimes on Unleash The Love.
Might bring it to therapy this afternoon, I think.

But then I remembered this scene of the band dressed as rappers in Wipeout: Two turntables and a Mike Love, just doesn't have the same ring. /Beck (not Jeff Beck the other 90s one. Nearly typed James Beck - he was Private Walker, the spiv in Dads Army lol)

It's probably one of the few times in the late 80s where Mike is the LEAST ridiculous looking one in the picture.

Mike actually looks 80s cool. There's such thing as "80s cool"? That's funny, given it's the worst decade fashion-wise.

I think the 1990s gave us guys wearing baggy jeans past their crotch with oversized tee shirts and backwards / sideways caps. I'll take those bright 80s neons over that any day of the week.
