Phil Spector, a flawed man and now a convicted criminal, was arguably one of the foremost producers of pop music in his time. His songwriting contributions, mastery of production and arrangement to create entirely new listening experiences cannot be understated. There is no doubt that the music he created deserves a proper packaging including remastered and stereo versions of his classic hits with all the artists that worked with him.
Is this now an impossibility due to his fallen status? Will his music ever get the well-deserved treatment it should have?
I dont think its out of the question. A nice two disc entry to the Essential series is a pretty good collection, and Im pretty sure it was released after his legal issues.
