Unfortunately the other shows are too far away.
It's hard to get off for concerts. But not going to this one opens up possibility of seeing Bob Dylan in Mobile, Alabama in mid October.

Added an Oakland setlist and the February 2019 NYC show to the top post (I'll just combine 2018 and 2019 tour dates/discussion into this one thread for now, until or if a substantial number of 2019 shows come about).

Two more 2019 shows were just announced — one at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, and the other at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk, Connecticut on February 9th and 8th, respectively. I'll be at the Norfolk show if anyone here plans on attending.

Do all of these shows feature autograph sessions with Al at the end, or only some? I'm wondering if I should bring some stuff for him to autograph like last time.

Added the two additional shows to the top post schedule. Al's site says he's playing the Mohegan Sun Arena, but I think that's like a big actual "arena" with 10,000+ seats, so I'm guessing he playing in a different, smaller venue.

That's part of a casino complex. I'd assume they have smaller theaters as part of the same facility/complex.

And having quickly googled, I'm guessing it's the Wolf Den or something similar: https://mohegansun.com/poi/venues/wolf-den.html

Bob's been great so far on this tour. That's probably the right call. I love Al as much as anyone on here, but I have a feeling that Bob in good form will be a rarer event.

Looking forward to seeing Al Jardine at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix on February 5th! We saw him almost a year ago at the same venue on January 29, 2018.  It was a great show. We hope to get another photo with him this time! (as the last one was out of focus!) Cry

Gonna try to hit up one of those shows in Napa. My birthday is the 5th, so that's a cool early present for myself.

Saw this when I went to check prices and thought it was kind of funny:

Sucks for you, 7 year olds!! Shouldn't have used your mom's Visa to purchase tickets!!!

Al's Facebook account put up a link to this:

HPR's All Things Considered Special Guest Al Jardine

Al Jardine, a founding original member of The Beach Boys and longtime member of Brian Wilson’s band, is performing Saturday and Sunday in Waikiki at the Blue Note Hawaii. The legendary musician took time to share stories with HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence.

The Al Jardine YouTube page posted a video about an hour or so ago of him and Matt performing “Luau” but it looks like they took it down. It was very amusing! Anyone else catch it?

Question for anybody who's been to these shows: how easy will it be for me to tell Al I love him and get him to sign my Postcard vinyl tomorrow night?

If there's a merch table set up, Al should be signing stuff there after the show. At the show I saw there was no merch table, so everyone went up to the front of the stage after the show, where Al, Matt, and Jeff signed stuff, posed for photos, and talked to the fans. Good luck -- I hope it all works out for you!

Great show from Al, Matt, and Jeff. Really full sound with just the 3 guys and a great song selection. Would definitely recommend catching a show if they're playing near you. Super intimate venue, maybe 60 or 70 very enthusiastic people there. They didn't really play any curveballs, but hearing Surfin' and Luau was sweet. Loved Matt's various leads. Killer version of Surf's Up.

Was lucky to talk to Al and Matt for a few minutes before and after the show and even got to meet Al's super nice wife. Awesome dude with an awesome family.

They were selling copies of Postcard on vinyl, though these ones were pressed on black wax. Had to get another copy since I don't want to wear out my newly autographed blue one.

Wish I could afford to go again tonight. The short rib nachos at the venue were freaking amazing.
