Al's website lists a bunch more shows, so I've added those to the top post schedule.

His June dates in Utah may indicate when Brian *won't* be on tour as well.

While all dates aren't nailed down yet, 18 dates is pretty impressive and shows a lot of momentum for a show that hasn't even premiered yet.

When I tried to get tickets for the City Winery in NYC their website says its a Peter Wolf show. Is there a different date? Doesn't seem to show up on their schedule of events.

Yes, some dates may be off or not confirmed. I'll update the top post as more info comes in. It appears Al is announcing these shows on Facebook as they go on sale, so he hasn't mentioned a bunch of the dates listed on his website yet.

Also, 4 shows in Utah, but (hopefully) just one in the metro NY.NJ area? That seems a bit strange...but this looks sooo promising. Alot of tour dates, which is great!

I sense they're still adding shows. For instance, one random show in February? There are gaps in the schedule they could fill. But very promising that they're getting this many bookings before they've done a single show.

Might not be officially announced yet.  On Al's website, the ticket link for that date takes you to the 3/29 date at the Flying Monkey

I thought about grabbing a front row ticket for just myself, but I'm waiting around to see if any discount tickets hit over the next few days. Money is a little tight right now.

I wish he'd hit Burlington, VT or somewhere in northern NY.

I really hope he adds a show in Southern New England. Beverly MA and New York are too far for me. Anyway, can't wait to hear what the first show's going to be like because we're only 4 days away.

Nice interview, with some good info about the tour and current relationship with the Boys....or lack there of with Love. Really looking forward to the shows; hope he comes to NJ/NY area. Sounds like the show will be similar in scope to his performance at Footprints a few years ago, which can be seen on You Tube. If so, I hope he does complete performances of the acoustic tunes, and not just fragments. Looking At Tomorrow would be great! But the story telling aspect with Q&A will be great!

Spoke with Al yesterday. He checked his books and said that he's got 3/31 for City Winery NYC, so he was of the mind that he might be going on before Peter Wolf, but double bills like that happen at the Winery -- at least, not in Manhattan.

It should be noted that 4/1 has no act booked.
I had been pushing for Al to play Joe's Pub -- which would really be the optimum setting for this type of show.
Hopefully next go 'round.

Thanks Howie New York City Winery does a lot of those double bookings for early shows and late shows. Would be even better though if he could be there on April 1st. But if it's the early show on the 31st I'll be there if I can get tickets

The interview with Al...Seriously, after reading that, how many ways can Mike Love or his small groups of diehard supporters try to "spin" what the situation was and is regarding him and the other surviving members? It's a done deal. Over. Finis. Stick a fork in it, done. And C50...money, money, money. Al was perhaps being charitable by not mentioning ego, ego, ego as well.

Good for Al to go out and do this. If he comes to my area, and I can go, I'll go.

But I had to comment on the interview too, because it's time the realities start getting put on the record, clear and concise, and all of this spin and wishing and hoping for sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows through rose-colored glasses that everything will be like 1964 again complete with the writing room for Brian and Mike to crank out the hits can be mothballed and sealed up, and people can move on.

Move on as Al says he and Brian have done. Good for them.

Oh, and the other nonsense(s) still going around about Brian and touring...read Al's quote on what Brian said to him about playing shows and touring. It's as simple as that...accept no spin or substitutes.

Tony --

I've yet to see a double A-list (e.g.) headliner booking in a single night at the Manhattan venue.

Hi Howie I don't know about a-listers but I just checked this year's calendar and there are different artists booked on the same night, an opening act I suppose and the headliner at 8. Whether there are two a-listers or not like Al and Peter Wolf I can't say but just addressing the fact that there are two shows by different artists

Looks like Al removed the 31st show at City Winery in NYC. Probably had the wrong date, hope he switches it to to either March 24th, or April 1st...both dates look open at the Winery.
