New "Oldies"

I'm a big fan of when older styles of music are used in modern contexts and I've noticed quite a few in the past couple or so years. Most recently, I'm pretty fond of Niall Horan's "Slow Hands," "Ex's and Oh's" by Elle King, and Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still." I think they all have a nice nod to past genres.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on other new (or recent) releases that have a retro feel to them.

I couldn't get into that Elle King song because I feel like there were about 2-3 other female singers that sound exactly like that out there (Gin Wigmore and Duffy are the ones I'm thinking of). 

Not really oldies per se, but I think the Swedish band Ghost has a 70s rock feel to them without being overly derivative.

I love Ex's and Oh's by Elle King. It has a very Spectorian vibe about it for sure, right down to the way she sings the "oh oh oh's they haunt me" line. But I agree her singing style seems kind of ubiquitous. British singer Paloma Faith is another to add to the list of female singers with "that voice". But I love Paloma too! Actually I bought Elle King's album after seeing her live, that girl can belt it. Her voice fills a room.

I'd add Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. I can't get enough of their sound. I can't pinpoint exactly who/what they sound like, it's like such a vast fusion of classic sounds that it's almost something completely new.

I've mentioned it before, but Colony House's most recent album "Only The Lonely" was heavily influenced by the Beach Boys and surf rock in general.  The song "You Know It" sounds a lot like "I Get Around."
