Gonna vote for Birthday.  Undecided

The writing was clearly on the wall. This was the beginning of the end...

We are going to split the album in two, so round #11 is Disc 1 and round #12 will be Disc 2.

Quote
The Beatles, also known as the White Album, is the ninth studio album by English rock group the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. A double album, its plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed,[a] which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's earlier Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Although no singles were issued from The Beatles in Britain and the United States, the songs "Hey Jude" and "Revolution" originated from the same recording sessions and were issued on a single in August 1968. The album's songs range in style from British blues and ska to tracks influenced by Chuck Berry and by Karlheinz Stockhausen.

On release, The Beatles received favourable reviews from the majority of music critics, but other commentators found its satirical songs unimportant and apolitical amid the turbulent political and social climate of 1968. The band and Martin have since debated whether the group should have released a single album instead. Nonetheless, The Beatles reached number one on the charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States and has since been viewed by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.

10 smilers voted for 5 tracks.
5 smilers will feel so suicidal if this doesn't get voted out.

Welcome back Smilers!

Remember to Vote OFF your LEAST FAVORITE TRACK.

Tally on November 5

Helter Skelter.
The instrumental track is very unsettling. A lot of people love it but I just can’t listen to it.

P.S. Have a Happy Birthday RangeRover A1!

10 smilers voted for 4 tracks.
4 smilers are going to be the poopers to this Birthday party.

Welcome back Smilers! Here we are at the final round for disk 2. Please VOTE FOR which of the remaining tracks is YOUR FAVORITE!!!

Tally on November 9

Round#9 Yer Blues November 3
Round#10 Birthday November 5

I am utterly stumped now. I like every single one of the tracks which are left equally.

I love Revolution. It's iconic. It sounds like no other song... except for the single version of Revolution which is superior in just about every way.

I like Helter Skelter. It's touted by some as the first Heavy Metal song... Whether it is or isn't, it's bleak and, like some  Beach Boys, it is tainted a bit by the Manson mythos.

My pick for survivor has a wonderful melody. I never get sick of singing along with it. I also like the sparse orchestration with the light brass section.

For me, "Mother Nature's Son" deserves to be the survivor of Disc 2.

I think there are songs that predate Helter Skelter that could qualify as proto metal - stuff by Blue Cheer, Cream, Iron Butterfly, Hendrix, and had it been released at the time, you could put Mrs. O Leary's Cow on the list.

I'm voting for Mother Nature's Son.

I much prefer the single version of Revolution.   Helter Skelter almost got my vote.  But, I'm hoping MNS becomes the first not so obvious Beatle pick to win a survivor poll.

To me there's no real standout songs on this particular disk. I'll go with Helter Skelter, I guess.

Obviously I’m not voting for Mother Nature’s Son as personally it bores me and I’ve been trying to vote it out for a while.
Revolution 1 is very good, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s hardly the definitive version of the song.
So yeah, for me it’s an easy vote for Helter Skelter
