Thankfully, the other poster agreed that it's really laughably bad song. Wish I could go back in time & destroy it. Then BBs fans will thank me. :D

"It's Gettin' Late"
5 is the biggest rating in this poll, in 10 scale it would be 10. This is favorite by Carl, really cool singing, many 80s leads he did could beat his 70s & even few 60s very fast. We should be grateful his voice changed to better. But take away Carl's lead, the song is stylish. With Carl, that vocal he does fits the song like complete perfect match & really adds coolness.

1. Beats me why Carl agreed to sing this schmaltz. Classy as he may be, there's way to say in classy way that "She Believes" is real epic fail, you Bruce sing it alone. & fans say Al's derivative. When I listened to it 1st, I knew which chord sequence will be next, even down to what next note is, in advance of the said chord/ note. It sounds like million schmaltzy 80s songs. The 80s may not be bad musically but brought many cheesy synth-based smooth romantic kinda songs. Bruce is derivative like that, ha.

Al with Carl did cool vocs. It's 3 due exclusively to them. Delete harmonica, change melody & arrangement - it could be 5. Imo it's the worst what they say "production" in this BBs album. Even in "Passing Friend" you hear few cool things.
