It's an incredible ballad! Such a wonderful soaring falsetto from Brian! Some of the lyrics are weird (...I pour some milk and I start to think...) but that's ok because for me that's part of the charm of this album. And Carl sounds great as always. FIVE

Surprised by the 1/5 votes. I was waffling between 4 and 5. In the end, I voted 5/5. It's a bit repetitive, but a pretty song.

What a wonderful song. I love how Brian and Dennis trade off the verses with their gruff 70s vocals, and the middle eight with Carl is the icing on the cake. A stand out track on this album. FIVE

I agree, it's pretty raw in the emotions department. It reminds me of a similarly raw duet sung by Kate Bush and Elton John on Kate's 50 Words for Snow----only they weren't married, lol. Love it when the backing vocals enter at 1:37 and that chord sequence at the end. Raw it is, but there's also something very tender and touching about it. Five.

I gave it a four (as a gasp goes up from my followers, lol), basically because of the lyrics, whatever they may mean (you can pat someone on the butt once too often in my book). But the harmonies and the overall sound are sheer magic.

"Love Is A Woman" is a great laid-back closer to a great album. I wouldn't have said this five years ago! It's only since I starting looking at Love You as outsider music that the penny dropped. Grin

Dang! Missed the last two votes. I know "I Wanna Pick You Up" is supposed to be about being a father, but the way it's sung feels more romantic to me. I like the song, but it feels creepy to me.

I love "Airplane." The synthesizers really seem to stand out on this track in a pleasing way.

I gave "Love Is a Woman" a 5. I think it's a great closer.

Again the change in attitude towards these songs is spectacular. Recently fans seemed obsessed with "Ding Dang", saying it's "the greatest thing" but cited "Love Is A Woman" as the low point of the album. But now DD is juust 3 & LIAW is 5 in everybody's book. Tiny observation, really.
