I voted yes. If you'd asked "Should we discuss Stars & Stripes?" I would have said no! But Love You is a legit BB album in my book.

2JK: I don't think you got why I asked this question. Problem is, we discussed LY tracks in great details ALREADY, in Watamushi's On Topic thread. You posted there too. It just doesn't make sense to discuss it again. I didn't say even it's not legit, not sure why you brought even this point. *facepalm*

Welp. Looks like people - with JK's help - voted "yes" as well. Secretly without commenting too, haha. Cheesy Ooh, so scaaared. Smiley Enjoy discussing LY 2nd round. See ya at M.I.U. (or is it Adult Child next? Not really interested in album chronology, boring subject). Figured I said sth. very reasonable, made valid point in the 1st paragraph but, nobody will ever agree with me, am not popular poster like JK or smb. else who people usually follow. Anyhoo. Yep, merry-go-round imminent. Cheesy

Well, I voted yes because I wasn't part of the other discussion on Love You. Seems like enough people are interested in talking about it. Not sure why that is so bothersome. This is a discussion forum. People discuss things. It's inevitable that some topics get repeated.

I voted yes too. I don't care if Love You has already been discussed in great detail. So has other topics that aren't as interesting. I'm totally down for 2 weeks of Love You talk.

Nonsense, RR. Of course people agree with you. And are interested in what you have to say.  Don't belittle yourself. :=)

Today's song is Let Us Go On This Way.

Torn between giving it four or five. Mike's middle eight lets it down somewhat. That said, he makes amends at the end by syncopating the melody. So at the end of the day it's a five from me. :=)

Great way to start the album. Energetic! Carl sounds pumped, Brian's backing vocals are awesome and Mike's middle eight is great. Great saxophone by Steve Douglas. FIVE!

I agree, this is a great album starter. Definitely a 5. It just blows up any prior notion you might have of what the Beach Boys can sound like, and I dig it.

Today's song is Roller Skating Child.

"RSC" keeps the momentum going nicely. Love it when the vocal harmonies enter at about 1:30 with some great whammy-bar guitar. To say nothing of Brian's enthusiastic off-beat thump.

Five.

Good god, I adore this whole album (some tracks better than others).
RSC classic BB's sounding track, neat guitar licks and super ML lead vocal - Big 5

Today's song is Mona.

I love Mona! Fun, catchy, good-feelin' rock & roll. Dennis sounds great. The lack of a middle-eight doesn't seem to matter (...not to me anyway). FIVE

Agreed! A middle eight here would sound wrong. "Mona" steamrollers its way pleasantly into one's brain. A five from me too.
