This is song nobody ruined except dreadful ad-lib by Elvis Costello after beautiful vocal by Annie Sofie von Otter - 3/4 into the song, he mumbles in the background. What's the point? She might as well sing alone. The Buffoons did it nicely.
That said, going back to topic, The BBs did it the best. Btw, I didn't & don't care about the tag with everybody else kicking in. To my ears, Brian's lead is where it's at, not the usual BBs case "great lead AND harmony vocals". 5.
