WDFFIL I'm not too crazy for most of the covers they've done but WDFFIL is an exception. Excellent falsetto lead from Brian, great backing track, better than the Frankie Lyman version in my opinion. Great mono track on a stereo album. FIVE

PPPG
Not bad for Carl's first recorded lead vocal. It's a catchy little number. If it's "filler' then it's some of the best filler they've done. 3 and half rounded out to 4.

Hi, PP. I managed to go away for awhile. But I'll soon be back on track (pun intended)...

Filler. But it's got a neat groove. Certainly not the best thing they ever recorded though. 2.

"Shut Down Pt. 2" is in my Top-5 BBs instrumentals. It's got uber-cool guitar playing. 5 duh. So there.

This is the internet, RR. And this isn't a board where people bare their souls anyway (unless they get pissed). That said, I agree with your review wholeheartedly. A 5 from me too. As for being filler, MG, I'd say the two terms (instrumental and filler) are mutually exclusive. One or the other but not both. Just my jaded opinion, mind. Actually I was holidaying in the Baltics. Lots of Russians there, very convivial, excellent food...

Why not - I'll give it a 5 as well. Nice that krabklaw uses it as the theme song for the "Brian" shows he's put together.

Who's "Krabklaw"? There's "krabklaw" with lowercase "k". Bizarre to see people change username freely against what the poster in question chose to write it.
1 to "Louie Louie". Boring dreck. They really ruined Richard Berry song.

This invariably gets written off as filler. In fact the Boys start with Richard Berry's original, cross over to The Kingsmen's definitive version and then revert to Berry's at the end. I think they do a great job of it. 5.

Someone (c-man?) once explained whether it was or wasn't Denny drumming but I can't remember what they said!
My guess is that it is Denny. And how else do you follow the mighty "Louie, Louie"?

Denny's Drums
Sure sounds like Dennis to me. Definitely not Hal Blaine's playing. Sorta neat, nothing special though. 2.

It has some classic songs on it. If I'd been around to vote they would all have got a 5, with two exceptions. Bit of a pity the album version of "FFF" chops off much of the tag. The chat track? OK, it allowed early audiences to hear Al speaking. A 4 for those two then. But a 5 for the album all round. :=)
