Someone on YouTube uploaded a version of “Warmth of the Sun” apparently recorded in 1990 and produced by Terry Melcher. I’ve never heard this before, nevertheless HEARD OF this. It features a truly stunning vocal from Brian, who apparently was able to be borrowed away from Landy and nail a falsetto reminiscent of himself circa 1964. Truly needs to be heard to be believed. Anybody know the story on this, or when it first hit bootlegs?

That's the original vocal put over a new backing track.

Other than a few seconds in the intro, all the vocals appear to be taken from the original recording.

Willie Nelson pitch-shifted up a fourth really is something, ain't it?

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That was the worst thing I ever heard.

THEY TRIED TO TAKE A VOCAL RECORDING THAT WAS IN 6/8 AND PUT A 4/4 BACKING TRACK BEHIND IT? WTFFFF!!!!!!

THAT MAKES ANYTHING ON SIP SOUND LIKE PET SOUNDS!!!!!!!

DID ANYONE THINK THAT SOUNDED GOOOOODDDD?HuhHuh?
