Sib Hashian, the original drummer for the rock group Boston, has died. He was 67. Boston 1977 © Provided by TheWrap Boston 1977
According to TMZ, Hashian (pictured above middle) was on the Legends of Rock Cruise and was in the middle of a set when he suddenly collapsed. CPR was performed and a defibrillator was used.
He was playing alongside fellow ex-band member Barry Goudreau, former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm, former Beach Boy David Marks and former Kansas singer John Elefante at the time of his death, the Boston Globe reported. Hashian's son Adam confirmed his death.

In reading some of the reports, I think it's unclear if other guys like David Marks were *on stage* when it happened. There are a bunch of bands on the bill, and most reports are simply mentioning all of the artists that were part of the cruise. It's certainly possible they all were up on stage for some sort of jam, and it certainly doesn't matter much one way or the other, but I guess it's still uncertain whether Dave was literally right there on stage with Hashian when it happened.
Either way, especially with Dave's scare of a year or two ago, I'm sure this was a bummer and traumatic and a million other awful things.
Many have already said at least Hashian was doing what he loved. I'll leave to his family to decide if that's something they can take solace in.
