Oh man, that article is AWESOME. Love to hear Brian's thoughts at the time about the songs and album.

The roller skating rink story got me thinking about where in Santa Monica it was located. I googled vintage roller rinks in Santa Monica, and I'm thinking it was likely at the Santa Monica Ice Capades Chalet at at 500 Broadway at 5th, being as this was located literally walking distance, just a couple blocks away, from the old Brother Records studio on 1454 5th St.

This also happened to have been the filming location for a Rocky/Adrian date scene from the 1976 film Rocky.
