Not that anyone can know the real answer, this is pure speculation... but what does everyone think?

I highly doubt Brian was voting during his dark years in the '70s/early '80s. Same with Denny. How about Brian during the Landy years?

And has a BB member ever voted in person at a polling place, or being celebrities,  more likely always by mail?

I also think that it's highly probable that some band members have missed voting (even absentee by mail) in numerous elections, perhaps inadvertently, due to being on tour. And/or it's always possible that some members sometimes just don't care to vote.

Finally, did Murry try to guilt the Boys into voting for one candidate over another? Hard to imagine him not.

Was thinking about this in relation to the BW band, which I assume is in the process of flying back to the US today.
Knowing their schedule, assume that at least some of them voted early, by mail, absentee. Or hope to still have time when they get back home.

I would imagine most of them reside in California, and California allows everyone to vote by mail if they choose permanent-by-mail voting status. No reason required.

Also, even most states that don't allow for anyone to be a permanent by-mail voter have some form of absentee voting where a "reason" is required, and I'm thinking "out of town working" is a legitimate reason.

Affirmative. Isn't it boring to know anyway? If not any choices were to their liking, they've a right to not go instead of going with the flow or who is better of the  choices at hand. Who cares?

The voting age was 21 until July 1971 when the 26th Amendment lowered it to 18. With that in mind, Carl's number is correct, but the rest of the guys potential times voting in US presidential elections should all be reduced by one.

Did Brian have a full beard when he voted in the 1980 election? Pfft.

Does anyone really think it's probable that Brian and Denny voted during their darkest drug periods? Or Brian during the Landy era? I really tend to doubt it.

For that matter, I could also see Landy taking Brian's absentee ballot and voting for him.  I don't imagine Brian had direct first access (without an intermediary) to his mail at that time.

Good opportunity to bring up Brian’s arrest at the 1984 RNC though. http://www.upi.com/Archives/1984/08/19/Beach-Boys-leader-Brian-Wilson-was-arrested-at-the/4196461736000/

One interesting, semi-unrelated thing to point out in the article:
Quote
Wilson lives with his wife and two daughters in the posh Bel-Air section of Los Angeles.

Hadn't Brian and Marilyn already been separated for five years at this point? Did they still live together until Brian got his own place? Or was it just misinformation?
