So this was something I've been thinking of doing for aroun a week now and it's to create a double album worth of material from the CATP sessions, American Spring, Chicago (as The Boys did backing vocals on some tracks) and The Flame.

It may sound incredibly unconventional and unbelievable but it's a good album none the less. For the sake of the album, let's just say that Chicago actually recorded songs from Chicago 7 in 1972. Anyway:

The Passions are:

Brian Wilson: Vocals, Piano
Mike Love: Vocals
Carl Wilson: Lead Guitar, Vocals
Alan Jardine: Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Dennis Wilson: Piano, Percussion, Vocals
Bruce Johnston: Vocals, Piano
Blondie Chaplin: Lead Guitar, Bass,
Vocals
Ricky Fataar: Vocals, Drums
Steve Fataar: Guitar, Vocals
Brother Fataar: Bass
Marilyn Wilson: Vocals, Harmony
Diane Rovell: Vocals, Harmony
Terry Kath: bass, lead vocals
Peter Cetera: classical acoustic guitar, lead and backing vocals
Robert Lamm: acoustic piano
Danny Seraphine: drums
Lee Loughnane: trumpet
James Pankow: trombone
Walter Parazaider: tenor saxophone
Daryl Dragon: Keyboards
Cathryn Tennille: Keyboards
Jack Reily: Vocals, Harmony

Interesting.  Definitely a 70's vibe to the whole thing.

Nice idea! However, I'd call it "Carl and the Passions". Smiley

Sounds brilliant so far! A number of tracks are new to me. Is it possible to give a list of which group plays on which track? Or is this already online somewhere?

Nice work, HaV!

Wishing you were here, Call on me, Byblos, Song of the evagreens and searching so long are Chicago tracks.

Shyin' Away, Superstar, Sweet Mountain, Now that everything's been said are American spring tracks.

Precious love and Bill are songs by the flames.

The rest are the Boys!

Thanks! It was the Chicago tracks (I know nothing of theirs) and "Precious Love" that threw me. Great mixtape you got there.
