Just saw this link on facebook, shared by Peter Guralnick.

The Blues Society: A Documentary Film

In 1966, The Memphis Country Blues Society created their first festival with a fistful of dollars, a baseball-sized chunk of hash, and what society member Randall Lyon called a “heroic passion” for the blues. The Blues Society is a feature length documentary film-in-progress about a revolutionary series of blues festivals held in Memphis, Tennessee between 1966 and 1969. Help us capture this important story!
