It's kinda remarkable that the whole decade-plus the board's been going, one of the earlier GOK covers has never been discussed - the one by that unique entertainer Joey Heatherton.

It first appeared on her 1972 album for MGM (reissued on CD in Japan in 2014) and again in 2002 for a Hip-O CD compilation of her work. Tony Scotti was the credited producer/arranger but Michael Lloyd was much involved in it and some of the more interesting touches on this track, like the harmonies toward the end, indicate his influence. Joey's delivery is kinda Streisand/Broadway - after all, she started her career there in The Sound Of Music - but she puts some real emotion in it.

Best album cover ever....

Wow, is that interesting, and I don't remember ever hearing of this before.  Most of you here are probably too young to remember what a stir her tushie caused on the tv show Hullabaloo.  Man, I recall all of this uproar that occurred because you could see the bottom of her bottom - although it was just about the hottest thing on television in those days...

And let's not forget she's the daughter of The Merry Mailman!
