Although I can't stand Misery, it doesn't seem to generate as much distaste in others.

There are 2 others that should definitely go. One was inexplicably a #1 hit.

But for this round, my pick is CHAINS.

"Baby It's You". Ideal Top 3 would be "Twist & Shout", "I Saw Her Standing There" & "Do You Want to Know A Secret". 3 best vocals by John, Paul & George.

Though I voted in round one, I think I'm going to sit a few rounds out now. I don't know this album so well as others and there's a whole lot of tracks I have no great love for, but don't hate either. It's only when we get down to to the final six or so I think I'll feel particularly strongly.

This is a tough one. And it's probably just the mood I'm in at the moment but I'm going to say Love Me Do.

Thank you RRA1. I am feeling a bit better today.  Cool

After a looooong break, I thought I would resurrect the old Survivor threads, but this time touching on The Beatles.

Quote
Please Please Me is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Parlophone rush-released the album on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of the singles "Please Please Me" (No. 1 on most lists though only No. 2 on Record Retailer)[6] and "Love Me Do" (No. 17).

Of the album's 14 songs, eight were written by Lennon–McCartney (originally credited "McCartney–Lennon"), early evidence of what Rolling Stone later called "[their invention of] the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments."[7] In 2012, Please Please Me was voted 39th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."[8]

Boys and Chains really battled it out this week. But Boys, ultimately, is being led off to the stockade in.. erm... chains...

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Tally on August 3.

I Saw Her Standing There
Misery
Anna
Chains
Ask Me Why
Please Please Me
Love Me Do
P.S. I Love You
Baby It's You
Do You Want To Know A Secret
There's A Place
Twist and Shout

Round#1 A Taste of Honey July 23
Round#2 Boys July 30

My pick for the second round is still Chains.

Vote! Vote! Vote!

There are four songs on this album that I don't care for at all:
  Misery
  Chains
Love Me Do ( how on earth was that a #1 song?)
  Baby It's You

Actually didn't dislike the two voted off thus far; Taste of Honey was "meh," take it or leave it, and thought Boys was kind of fun actually, a fun rocker.

I vote Chains again.

Love Me Do ( how on earth was that a #1 song?)

It wasn't.

According to wikipedia, initially, it peaked at #17 in the UK. It ended up going #1 in the U.S. during Beatlemania. Also, #1 in Australia. Really shows you how intense Beatlemania was in 1964. Americans really couldn't get enough. They were buying Canadian imports of Love Me Do with Ringo on drums prompting the release of the Andy White version in April of '64. Lennon/McCartney had seven of their songs hit #1 in 1964! Amazing.

My vote is for Do You Want To Know A Secret.

I agree with Labe, "P.S. I Love You" really doesn't do much for me. So that's my vote!
