"Do You Want to Know a Secret" - to BLOCK the hate of two of the Best Tracks on this album.

I played this last Saturday night, mono - from the Mono Box.  Would suggest everybody do that.

Not dead. Just a bit sleepy...

Please Please Me is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Parlophone rush-released the album on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of the singles "Please Please Me" (No. 1 on most lists though only No. 2 on Record Retailer)[6] and "Love Me Do" (No. 17).

Of the album's 14 songs, eight were written by Lennon–McCartney (originally credited "McCartney–Lennon"), early evidence of what Rolling Stone later called "[their invention of] the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments."[7] In 2012, Please Please Me was voted 39th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."[8]
The Secret is out. literally....

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Tally on August 20.

I Saw Her Standing There
Misery
Anna
Ask Me Why
Please Please Me
Love Me Do
Baby It's You
There's A Place
Twist and Shout

Round#1 A Taste of Honey July 23
Round#2 Boys July 30
Round#3 Chains August 3
Round#4 P.S. I Love You August 7
Round#5 Do You Want To Know A Secret August 16

I know my vote this time will likely stick around for a few more rounds, but I vote for Love Me Do. There just isn't a whole lot there except it's kitschy catchyness.

Will be a case of "eeny, meeny, miny, mo" for the next 4 rounds or so, until all the duds are eliminated and we start getting to the good stuff.

I'll pick Anna.

On our way through this "backstage" maze, Bruce joined up with the group and said hello, singing "It Never Rains in Southern California" and joking with some of the older ladies. I'm not sure if they knew he was a Beach Boy or simply an enthusiastic elderly gay gentleman.

I think we have one of the worst Beatles songs ever on the run.

Three Babies It's You. 4 Annas. No Match for 6 Love Me Don'ts.

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Tally on August 25.

Round#5 Do You Want To Know A Secret August 16
Round#6 Love Me Do August 20

This is the last easy round for me... Baby It's You. Great vocal by John, but it's a ho-hum song compared to the other Survivors.

Yes, I suppose I will also go for Baby It's You. Good song though. The original is also great but I lament never being able to hear how The Beatles did Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Mama Said, Soldier Boy, and Love Is A Swinging Thing.
