RIP Dave Swarbrick

I can understand why this one went under the radar. It's not as significant as some of the other music business-deaths this year, but nonetheless, it's sad to hear of Dave Swarbrick's passing. He was a vital component of Fairport Convention and really kept them going through his years in the group. He certainly will be missed.

Very sad. I saw him (and Sandy Denny) perform with Fairport in '75 or '76 in Amsterdam.
Although I believe he was sceptical at first of the whole folk-rock thing, he helped break new ground on this seminal track of theirs:

Rest in peace, sir.

rest in peace, Dave. You are part of many happy memories for me.
Thanks for posting Vegetable Man.
And thank you, John. I love that track.
