Yup, that's exactly what that appears to be. It's really not surprising to me that Mike actually knows how to play instruments. Hang around the Wilsons for a few decades and you're bound to learn some chords.

That sounds like me!

I wonder why Mike didn't work on instruments more. Especially in the early 70s, when he was no longer the front man.

I am somewhat confused by what happens around 2:10. It seems that Dennis says something that will occur before the next award is given, then Brian jumps into the next award. Of course there is a part taken out. Anybody know what happened?

Yes! The Hogpig tribute to the Lovester. I first saw this one about a year ago and laughed my ass off.

Mr. Global Moderator, it's funny. If I wrote the word f***, you would edit it out. But, then, YOU would post something like this. Whatever.... police

This is great and kind of creepy.  Reminds me of when Mr. Rogers did his puppet shows...

Really cool. Thanks a lot. I'm only a few minutes into the first one, but it's great to hear.

Yeah, I'd never heard those stories before.  And his answer on the string arrangements might have shed light on who did those early string arrangements like "The Surfer Moon" and "In The Back of My Mind".

Stephen Desper, have you ever met or worked with Chuck Britz? I assume you all have met even though you worked at a different time then him.

That question might be more likely to be seen and answered in the Desper thread, but I don't think he's answered questions even there in quite a while now.

Ebb And Flow, thanks for the links. Can you imagine the book Chuck Britz could've written?

At least he gave several in-depth interviews like this before his death.  But it's pretty sad that a more detailed analysis from him of the group's history wasn't made, as he seems to have been around and involved for nearly all of it, and wasn't afraid to cut the BS.

I put this up on the 'Tube recently.  My personal stereo remix of The Little Girl I Once Knew.

Outstanding remix of 'The Little Girl I Once Knew', Ebb. Though I tend to prefer mono, I still like what you did with it; that organ you hear in the right channel really shimmers, and where the track stops cold twice, you can hear the ringing chord of the vibes very well. Wow.

I like your video for 'The Warmth of the Sun' as well. I've always like the bit from the IJWMFTT doc. where that music professor talks about the song.

Desper knew Chuck.

I was flabbergasted to see that interview with Chuck as well.  Nice to hear stuff in his own words, and there were a few interesting historically questionable revelations as well.

Still, nobody ever goes quite as in-depth about the engineering as I'd like...I thought he might when they started talking about going direct vs. amp...but then they went off in another direction.

If there's a communal afterlife, Chuck will be quite possibly the first person I contact.  And his memory should be perfect?
