http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1mUnvzFp3k

2: meeting Brian Wilson, SMiLE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZeW7Mdnwrc

3: the end of SMiLE, starting a solo carreer, Song Cycle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWP2trp3hZ0
Be sure to check out VDP's comment on Mike at 2:43-3:00

Part 4-6 will follow the next couple of days or week...

A Brian Wilson tribute video/song written and performed by Chris Rainbow in a very Beach Boys style.  Interested to see if some of the experts here can identify which Beach Boys songs some of this was lifted from.  Was told Chris was previoulsy a member of Alan Parson Project and a big fan of Brian's.

Very nice...

Amusing as long as people know what absolute trash it is. It always makes me sad when well-intentioned (but in my opinion, gullible) people fall for this sort of thing.

Amusing as long as people know what absolute trash it is. It always makes me sad when well-intentioned (but in my opinion, gullible) people fall for this sort of thing.

There is a whole website of it right here:

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Rock-n-Roll/beach_boys.htm

Quite sad how some people can be so stupid to read into things too much yet they ignore obvious facts. For example on the website I posted above they say:

"Then there's Brian Wilson's song, God Only Knows... The only problem is that Brian Wilson isn't sure there is a God."

Well the only problem with your argument there is that Brian Wilson didn't even write the lyrics and was actually worried about using the word "God" in the title. I don't know Tony Asher personally (obviously) but obviously I just like most people dont know his beliefs and so its pretty hard to say whether or not he believes in God. Add to that the fact that I dont think Tony Asher is talking about the God or any particular God. His point in the song is just basically saying "Nobody realises how much I love you". Sorry to explain the obvious but this website is just so annoying

Then of course their is some arguments by them which are absoultely ridiculous such as:

"In 1966, the Beach Boys came out with their album, Pet Sounds (album cover pictured to the right).  Please notice the goats which they are feeding.  This is no coincidence, the goat represents Satan..."

I mean what a joke! Didn't God create the goat? Isn't that just a BIT over the top (actually VERY over the top). If you look on look on the website they go on about how every band in rock and roll is satanic. Unless a band openly states their beliefs that they are either for God or Satan or whatever how can you say "YOU ARE SATANIC". It does say in the Bible that you shouldn't judge other people. Sorry I just had to get that off my chest. And then of course they interview Charles Manson in that video you posted. Thats smart, lets believe a serial killer, hes all for God and loves everyone and he wouldn't lie Roll Eyes

Note: Im clearly not trying to start any debate here and of course everyone is entited to their beliefs but I just think that some people go a bit over the top in analyzing people TOO much especially when they don't know the whole story. I mean just because you see a goth walking down the street doesnt mean you just assume they are satanic. Thats ridiculous. Unless you know them and you clearly know their beliefs then its absurd to say that someone is satanic or evil.

Yeh it is funny to see what some people involve their lives with. I mean I have no problem with people caring about things that ACTUALLY matter but its when they are like "oh my goodness look at this such and such website (Im making stuff up to give an example) look they have a star. This is clearly the star of satan. I mean who cares. Why don't they go and try and tell people about the word of God? Thats what I don't understand. Instead of just criticizing everyone, go and talk about the positive things of God if you are a christian/catholic or whatever.

Yeh Im also a Christian and I just find it frustrating that there is people like this. I can understand why some people hate Christians because they see things like this and it puts them off, even though its a minority. Thats why when it comes to religion I think people have got to be a little more sensitive and when you are accusing someone who you dont even know of being satanic you have to be soooo sure that they are satanic before you accuse them of it (ie: the person themself I believe should have said "I am satanic" then you can say "He is satanic"
