Anybody got the Howard Stern Interview from that time?

There is an audio of that on the Murray Wilson Myspace

Much better than I'd have guessed. Two thoughts:

1) I hate the little hand-motions all pop singers seem to make these days, as if it helps them find and hold pitch.

2) What's up with Probyn's wry grin? I can't tell if he is thinking, "they aren't bad" or "we could do this better...and we're playing instruments."

That's an old tradition dating back from  the days of doo-wop. Just another variation, only much, much worse. But yeah, it is annoying, but at least it's not "jazz hands" *shudder*

Yeah, that movie was a real piece of sh*t. Was it a tv movie of the week? Was it released in theaters or straight-to-video?

Ah yes, I got the complete show. Really interesting show. No Carl, which is really disappointing. A good setlist, with nice suprises like Surfin' and Long Tall Texan. Brian had some trouble during Don't Worry Baby, trying to reach the falsetto notes, but without great success. But for the effort he deserves my respect.

I just added two videos of Carl Wilson in an all-star-lineup backing:

Bo Diddley

That's right, one of these cats:

and

Chuck Berry

You have to wait a little until Chuck comes on stage, as it was a spontaneous thing; he'd done his set already.

I'd love to see both concerts in their entirety as this was probably cut from both shows.

Please check out the DVD, you can see Carl more often during other songs and he is on camera saying "Chuck Berry is the reason why I play guitar". Unfortunately "Rock'n Roll music" is the only time you actually can see him with Chuck, he's backing up Bo on most of the tracks here. And of course the quality on DVD is much better.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That last one has to be mislabeled--there is no way it is really as early as '95, is it? Seems it would be about three-to-five years later. Although he was playing the piano, so that hints at earlier rather than later.

It apparently is from 1995. Actually, Brian looks a bit plump (when you can actually make him out) but still younger-looking, so yeah, that's from 95. The quality (or lack thereof) of his voice also dates from that period.

DAFTfilm's Elemental Suite is a new videosampler directed by Lars Kjelfred, Jesper
Madsen & Konstantin Furman:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRHQ4-L5P7k

That should be the last flick coming from DAFTfilm!
It has been a fantastic experience - udderly...  sorry utterly mindblowing to be a part
of in the last 5 years.
Now new talents must take over and we know for a fact that there are several
video venturers worldwide who are waiting to launch their own Beach Boys videos.
And with the hundreds of entries joining Brian Wilson's 'Become a Video hero'-contest
wouldn't you think that more of the participants had pursued the creative pleasures
(and frustrations) involved in making fanedits and medleys equipped with moving
pictures? (even though most of us had to deal with the disappointment of not being
nominated)
I'm sure that the new videos will be very different from ours and probably better...
Can't wait to see them!

Wow, I'm glad someone posted the A&E Biography program. I had a copy of this from when it originally aired, but it has since been destroyed on accident...it was great to watch it again.

Yes, that A&E thing was fuggin fantastic! Much better than any other docu I've seen on them... so much rare footage, etc.

If anyone can answer my questions on there, that'd be great. (fifbeat is my name).
