Rehearsing Forever in the studio. Sadly a very short clip:

http://youtu.be/aIzzpnZbQC4

Awesome !
Now where did that come from?!  Mooooorree !

I've taken credit on more than one occasion for having stumbled upon this clip back in the early 70's, at a program for classic commercials. Couldn't believe when The Boys popped on screen, in the middle of all of these iconic LA people & images. Had I not contacted the ad agency in New York, and obtained a film copy of this, it might have been lost forever. Don't know where or how this person copied it to youtube, but here it is, all glorious 6 seconds of it

Who's missing in the video, Al or Mike? Kind of looks like Al, but the clothes make it more like Mike.

I noticed the ABC tv movie about the Beach Boys is on Youtube, part 1 is unavailable though. Anyone know where I could see the full thing?, I think there's a DVD of it but some of the tv movie has been edited etc.

That's the Eastern Airlines ad right? Wish the whole commercial would show up with the rerecorded This Whole World.

There's also an instrumental version of "Isn't It Time" from a promo cd which I have yet to hear, I hope it finds its way to Youtube one of these days...

Has Al's Crumple Car ever appeared on a bootleg? To my knowledge, I've never heard it on anything...I was pretty surprised when I found this:

I never even heard about that song!  Shocked

Although musically it wouldn't fit, thematically it would have been a nice wink on Still Cruisin'

Yeah, I saw them user had uploaded a law of bootleg material.
I've only read about Al's crumple car song on Andrew Doe's website and maybe in endless summer quarterly.

Is that demo of The First Time really from 1983?  I know that it's the right time period for when the song was written, but Brian's voice on that particular video sounds more like the Brian Wilson '88 through early 90's voice.  Granted, I'm no authority at all.  Just curious.

From a TV report. The Everly Brothers talk about the Beach Boys and their - then forthcoming - appearance on the 25th anniversary. You also get to hear a short part of the concert without the studio overdubs but with TV camera sound:

Original is so dull in compare with Al's version. This is my new favorite Al lead, he sang the song with such fun & ease. I liked the percussion & cool acoustic vibe.
