Kudos to Bruce for mentioning George Jones (see the George Jones-thread in the "general music discussion" board for reading what George had to say about the Beach Boys in his autobiography) and singing part of "He stopped loving her today". -» http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,15576.msg380807.html#msg380807And another one for the pro-shot concert list!

That footage with Dennis is great! Even Carl does some good dead-panning. And Carter on the john and the guys singing along...the goodness never ends!

Yup. I bought this DVD. This is only for the die hards, but it's nice to get a "slice of life" peek at the guys. A few great moments come to mind. Carl comes off as a really sweet, endearing fellow. Several times throughout the film he stares at the camera and marvels at the fact that it's able to record audio. There's a moment where Dennis and Mike are in the bathroom gossiping about Van Dyke Parks. I also believe there's a scene where Al and Dennis discuss spiritual matters on their private plane

Carl is speaking in such a low voice in that backgammon clip. And their looks are so... wow

Little Richard on American Bandstand with "Bama lama bama loo" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojgQ5lfLmUwNothing special but during the interview when he talks about his upcoming tours he mentions that he is doing a show with The Beach Boys

That Little Richard clip is wild-though he did not play the Hollywood Bowl with the BBs in 1964. They were 100% in Utah at the Lagoon on Sept 11 1964. Maybe it fell through

For some reason, listening to him trying to "play" that part in the 1980's is more fun. lol It's like he's deliberately trying to sound as horrible as possible.
