Pretty nice. But what is that terrible effect on his voice (the artificial doubling)? Sounds like sh*t

Amateur film of a pleasant radio interview done by Dave, Bruce & Al @ Bethel Woods (June 17, 2012):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9dgPlaCUCg&feature=related
a) Al is a highly gifted whistler.
b) Bruce used to back up Ritchie Valens.
c) Ringo Starr is mowing lawns in Bethel, New York.

"Lavender" is a song written by Dorinda Morgan. The song was never released on any of The Beach Boys albums. It was lost in the archives for many years until it was found and released on the band's 1991 compilation album Lost & Found (1961-62).
Lavender - Kenny & the Cadets (Beach Boys), early 1962
The next one is kinda fake, but it is done pretty creative and with good result:
Lavender - The Beach Boys with additional instruments by Sinbad Lovegood, 2011
'Welcome back Four Freshmen style'
Marcella - Andrew Gold.
Another good cover version, from the album Leftovers (1998) I don't know if it was recorded the same year.

I think it's Christopher Cross.

This is cool. It might come from Billy Hinsche's new "homemovies"-DVD

Thanks again, Rocker! Now I know who performed South American with Brian at Farm Aid in 1998.
You're welcome!
In the '85 he sang "Good vibrations" and he was also at one of this year's Beach Boys shows (I believe in Japan). IIRC he was a very good friend of Carl
