There is a YouTube video I'm looking for, but I can't find it anywhere. It was posted here a few months ago, so it's probably 20 or so pages back. I think Jon Stebbins might have posted it. It's a video of the group with Brian and Dennis, from around 1980. It seems to be at some kind of party. The only part I can really remember is Dennis getting somebody a drink from a cooler. Does anybody remember it? Could somebody re-post it?
*cough*

I know which one you're talking about but can't find it on youtube. I believe it was backstage and Dennis indeed got a drink. Brian's hair looked unwashed iirc

That TV lady likes "Spring Vacation"... because of the lyrics.

EDIT: Brian and Mike grinning at each other and agreeing on "California Girls" made up for the stoopid TV lady, though.  Smiley

Two more!

Chuck Berry + The Four Freshmen = The Beach Boys

The formula is explored via Route 66.

California Girls on Acid / Silence is Death

Hollywood, 1965: John Cassavetes, Jack Klugman, and... John Stamos help illustrate the fruit of Brian Wilson's first acid trip: California Girls. Plus: Enter and Exit and Enter Bruce Johnston. Why is the music so loud? It's The Beach Boys, dad -- in this excerpt from "Endless Syncopation."

well, this is probably in the wrong section, BUT, I was checking out some Jackson Browne stuff on Youtube and that led to watching Bruce Springsteen do JB's induction to the R&R Hall(2004) and it was a cool speech, and then right about 7:34 he brought it around to my favorite group, so maybe check it out:

Who here does those endless syncopations?
They are thought provoking!
They are hilarious! I've been watching the disco love segment once a day, going on a week here.
They are my favorite videos on YouTube. I'm hoping maybe you"ll do one
called "Mistaken Identity:the car songs of The Beach Boys" and rely heavily on their appearance in that Home Improvement episode. Chop & Screw that sh¥#! Pepper in some Tim Allen grunts from the theme song etc.
Either way, keep em' coming.

Thanks! It's nearly finished, just a few more bits to go plus the reunion ending. But I keep tacking on more stuff... The Home Improvement snippet is definitely on deck!

Brian on why he loves God Only Knows: "Because Paul McCartney said it was his favourite song"

Hmm pretty interesting, given the band situation of the time. (And am I the only one who thinks the interviewer looks a lot like a middle-aged Brian?)
