Does anyone have a video of when Brian did that one TV show performance where he acted like a frontman and danced around? I can't remember how to find that on youtube and it was absolutely mindblowing when I saw it. Thanks in advance.

Anyone notice that the B-Pain sound everyone's talking about almost sounds present here? I think Brian's voice is just really powerful when he's singing directly and sustaining a note. It almost overloads the mic and that combined with the echo and sound of whatever room he's singing in just gives it a slightly unnatural sound.... I could be wrong, of course.

There is a YouTube video I'm looking for, but I can't find it anywhere. It was posted here a few months ago, so it's probably 20 or so pages back. I think Jon Stebbins might have posted it. It's a video of the group with Brian and Dennis, from around 1980. It seems to be at some kind of party. The only part I can really remember is Dennis getting somebody a drink from a cooler. Does anybody remember it? Could somebody re-post it?

I've seen some performances of Glen trying to Rock'n'Roll butman, he just can't do it. He's a great, great guitar player and a nice singer. But a rock'n'roller he ain't. He's making the same mistake all the british invasion bands did; playing too fast because they can't get it right. But what the heck, he's a good guy. These two cats know how it's done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_w9E0snp9g

Oh it gives me a headache too! It's not by choice, it tends to cut when things go nuts, it zooms sickeningly, someone bumps me, or a massive head appears in front of me. Better to cut away than show the exposure flaring as it desperately tries to figure out what's going on or the camera getting crazier. You don't have many options with two sources, one of which generally being a shaky wide shot.
I'm looking forward to seeing some proper footage of the tour! How was the PBS special looking, anybody?

I wish I could remember more details to be able to describe it better. Brian has a full, thick beard. Dennis looks surprisingly good. I think it was some type of industry party. Maybe an album release party? Whoever posted it said that you have to type in something specific for it to turn up on YouTube, but I can't remember it. I've tried "The Beach Boys 1980" with no luck. I did the same with 1981. I hope it didn't get pulled before I could download and save it.
