This audience is insane. Don't they realise what they are witnessing? http://www.youtube.com/user/at0miklust#p/u/27/U9pGz5h-ZFM

I believe this is from the new CD-edition of the White Album. At around 1:16 min you can see a short clip of Mike with Lennon/McCartney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOL3f37ft4U

That was terrific. Gary Griffin knows so too, watch him during the 3rd verse.

I like the Beatles a bit more than the Boys of Beach, I think Brian's band is the tops---really amazing. And finally, I'm liberal. That's it.

What's up with that hard and quick pronunciation of "what I'd" in Brian's latter day "God Only Knows" performances? Does he think it sounds better that way? Or is it somehow easier for him to sing like that? Weird.

Funny you should mention that. I have always HATED the way Brian sings "life would still go on". Carl did the same thing, so it's not just a quirky Brian thing.

That was terrific. Gary Griffin knows so too, watch him during the 3rd verse. I agree. Interesting - it sounds like he's made a conscious decision to try and sing it more softly a la Carl.

Brian seems a bit "wooden" about it. I am not sure how he felt. Touched flattered, insulted?

Apparently you've been away for a few months as this was already discussed in March/April... http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,8588.0.htmlAnd as Stegibo already mentioned, he had some trouble with his voice (due to bronchitis, according to Bruce J.).

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings. Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45. Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

I'm not sure I believe that it was REALLY Bruce Johnston who posted on The Beach Boys Britain Forum (the obvious, undisputed place to go for official Beach Boys news). It doesn't make much sense and its impossible to prove.
So, maybe Mike had bronchitis. Maybe he was having an asthma attack and couldn't get oxygen into his lungs. And that video Stegibo, the quality is pretty bad. The hand clapping is just as loud as the vocals so I can't really determine how much better or worse this is.
I just keep feeling so disappointed about this though. I just want my Beach Boys to be good.

It's also, using my belief, impossible to disprove. I can't believe that you're serious with this ridiculous and somewhat sarcastic comment, especially the bit between the brackets. By doing so you leave yourself open to be shot at but then I guess that's just what you're really trying to achieve here. It's Bruce for sure and I've a feeling that deep down you know it is. The people that run BBB should do the dignified thing here and just ignore you. Oh by the way, I've nothing to with BBB. I'm not even a member but I do enjoy reading the regular contributions that Bruce makes to their message board.
