The usage of the "Oh Lord" sample was hypnotic and quite touching I found.  Actually, I really enjoyed the whole thing.  Great job whoever put this together!

I saw THIS version of Back Home about a year ago, but the quality was lousy. THIS is the version of Brian's performance I PREFER! NOT the Mike Douglas one. Heck he even SMILES at the beginning.

HOLY CRAP! Extremely interesting early demo of "Going Home":

Who thought he could still write arrangements like this? Absolutely amazing. I have a lot more hope for that "Pleasure Island" concept now.

This is from the Wilson-Paley-Sessions and probably has nothing to do with "Going home" on TLOS. Cool song though

They both sound very much alike to me. Sing the "back to the place, where I belong" line after the title is repeated for the second time. It fits perfectly. Although, the melody is quite different after that.

Check this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXBGkzQ2S8c, and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXBGkzQ2S8c out. In my opinion, it's brilliantly done. This sounds like it took a lot of work to get right.

Interesting that Brian wanted to tour with the Beach Boys after Carl's death. I wonder if he knew back then that Al wasn't with them anymore?

Ah, I have not heard that song in ages! They use to play it all the time when AOL radio had the surf station. I listened to it a lot when I got into the BB. That seems like a long time ago....

"Carpenters style ballad" - never thought of it this way. It makes sense actually - well, sort of... I mean, we're still talking about Winds of Change. The subtitles just made me realize how utterly bland those lyrics really are. "Worlds in motion endlessly/Cosmic ocean flows into my heart". Seriously, WTF?
