You're right! I don't recall them performing that one either. That's unfortunate. They did quite a couple of Love You songs during that time. "Let us go on this way" sounds like typical Beach Boys to me (despite of what you read in all the reviews) and rocks perfectly. Should've been a hit single.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Jeez that performance of Love Is A Woman is much better than what was released on the album imo.

Red Skelton Hour 09-24-1963 with Shirley Temple and the Beach Boys

"Love is a Many-Splintered Thing"
Freddie the Freeloader (Red) falls in love with a pretty debutante (Shirley Temple).
The Beach Boys perform "Surfin' USA" and "Things We Did Last Summer."
The Silent Spot:

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing this.

The same user has Carl's appearance on Tom Snyder's Tomorrow show from 1981 in better quality than before:

Mike Love And Bruce Johnston On The Maury Povich Show (1992)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vucnOZEvVYQ

"Summern in Paradise", Stamos and Brian are the main topics as far as I can tell. There's a short piano-only version of GV's chorus.

Strange times for the band. It looks like they had already turned into the Mike/Bruce show to a certain degree but with Alan and Carl still around of course. "Brian and I have been talking about writing together" - that was Mike's recurring line for 30 years since the early 80s.

Hm, I'm not sure. I belive that's the way he always talks about his band. He certainly will do a 60th anniversary tour (if health allows), but not necessarily with the "real" Beach Boys.
