You'd think so sitting at a keyboard but I reckon Mike's just resting his hands to the sides.

Perhaps one of our Spanish fans can help translate what she's saying.

This is interesting to see: Bruce with a generic quote, Carl (not surprisingly) speaking about Denny and Brian saying he wants to go another 20 years -- 29 years ago!

He wouldn't tell you this - but this is fresh outta Bruce Johnston's home studio and the vocals aren't even processed. Grin

(Inside birds tell me it's his reaction to our "Re-evaluation and Appreciation" thread.)

Loved it! He does have Brian's voice and inflections down pretty good.

This is apparently the 1975 documentary which I've seen mentioned here before, but have never seen. A little bit of Beachago here. Warning: Polarized sunglasses suggested for viewing Mike's outfit.

EDIT: Oops, I see this was posted to General Discussion about 1/2 year ago. Guess it doesn't do any harm to leave it here, with the other YouTubes, in case anybody other than myself didn't see it before.

Just discovered this. Probably been posted before, as it appears to be posted by our own James Clarke. It's "Don't Talk" live in 75, with Carl on lead vocal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMEmq30uhKM
My god, his voice is so gorgeous on this song. I'd say it matches the original recording in quality. Gave me goosebumps, thought that perhaps others would want to share in that. I don't think I even knew it was performed live before. (The instruments are a little rough though).

I just love the dynamics he puts in to his singing on tender songs.

Thank God for Carl Wilson. He voice really matured during this period, particularly on live renditions of "Don't Talk", "Caroline, No", "Only With You", "Surf's Up" and "Let The Wind Blow."

Here's someone going through different vinyl versions of the Wid Honey album. I don't care very much for that kind of stuff but there's some really interesting artwork on some releases

'Tis a shame that the cameras weren't rolling in 1970 as they had the previous year.

First time I saw this, complete encore from the 1989 Beachago show. I don't even mind the bad quality since it's so rare.

For anyone who has been following the Survivor threads, I made a video playlist from youtube of the 12 songs that made it through the Super Survivor rounds. Makes for a good listen.  Smiley
