Here's one I'd only ever seen short clips of, Rhonda from DC in 1984.  I think I hear Carl, but I sure don't see him.  Yes, there is music underneath the hiss.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf-197oyZF0

Rhonda was performed between Good Vibrations and Fun, Fun, Fun which both featured Carl upfront. Perhaps he joined the "back line" for Rhonda as I always thought it was he who sang "Sing-a- long, sing-a-long" @ 0:53.

Watching it right now. I'll comment on stuff as the video runs along.

1) Vallures sound promising, gonna check 'em out later.

2) That dame shooting a movie (The Swan, 1956) with young VDP is none other than Grace Kelly. Wink   EDIT: I see you corrected yourself later in part III. Wink

3) I had the new VDP lying around for a couple of days now but still didn't get to put it on. I'm psyched as well.

4) Diggin' the Vader poster!

5) I've never owned the '66 tour program - so thanks for that. Smiley Mike in a tub reading. LOL

6) I guess during the SMiLE period Brian was into astrology more than he was into actual astronomy. I highly doubt he had any scientific interest in the matter.

7) Where's the part with the '76 tour program review? Huh

Oops! Sorry, I had to do part 3 in two parts because I went on longer than 15, which I have found very easy to do lately! Here's part 3/video 2:

http://youtu.be/caOnSPc1qic

Btw, I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan.

Also, trying to generate so e feedback, are my topics any good? I kinda got the idea when everyone started posting themselves opening the smile boxset but I didn't have a camera til a month ago to do this on. I know the quality sucks but I just wanna give a chance to fans who don't have access to some past merchindise and wanna give em a view of some different items.

Also, I just did one thurs night about the 25 years of GV record put out by Sunkist and a couple of singles from the mid 80s:

I just looked at the "tour program review part 3/2 of 2". Very nice to see that stuff. Plus these programs seem to use pictures I've never seen anywhere else (that goes also for the 50th anniversary tour programm).

The pictures of Mike at around 2:04 are probably from Seattle 1975. Check out the Pro Shot Concert List for a youtube link.

MAN! Carl killed that vocal. Also awesome to hear the moving harmonies in the beginning, which are kind of buried in the final mix.

Any idea who it might be? Carl? I thought I heard Brian in the vocal blend in the beginning also.

IF we're talking about the same part I think it's Carl.
Brian's very audible on the studio version's intro. With this recording it's hard to decide for me but I don't think Brian's on this at all. I think I can make out Carl, Al and Bruce on the intro. Maybe Jeff also or some other high voice

I am looking a movie about nature and the evolution of the world. They just showed some crabs and how they run in big, big numbers to the water. Anyway, this song was played:

Here it is! My two-part review of my SMiLE materials (CDs, Boots, Records). Keep in mind- this is not including The Smile Sessions boxset. I own one but everyone else has already posted themselves opening it up, so I wanted to do something new and/or different.

They did also in the late 80s for some time. But just one chorus I believe. Funny to see Mike and Bruce do it now. And so fitting now as it was back then for the group... just in a totally different way

If you look at the guys you see that nothing was right at that time. No interaction between them, Al looks like he is at another place, Carl looks pissed to death.... yes, the 90s. The Beach Boys' absolute lowpoint. What a contrast if you compare it to the 2012 tour
