Oh Dennis, lovely!!
And Mike, is it, singing Brian's part in that section?  Is there no end to the spiritual wealth, the treasure that the BB generated that brings us so much happiness?

Wow I didn't know Dennis' voice sounded that raspy as early as 1972!  Shocked

My favourite version! Dennis is bringing so much soul into that line, plus I like the different drumbeat

Well it sounds raspy from the start at times. Listen to Only With You from the same show, he sounds very clear there.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

There's also a short clip of Al singing "You're So Good to Me", and a few lines from an interview with Bruce, earlier in that video.

yep.

and speaking of which, I remember, only once, seeing a clip from around 89/90 of the band sans Carl performing Kokomo with Jeff singing the chorus. is that still online? I haven't seen it in years.

No!

Shaun Cassidy - "It's Like Heaven" = produced by Michael Lloyd
David Cassidy - "Cruise to Harlem" = produced by David Cassidy & Gerry Beckley

both songs are co-written by Brian of course.

I can't say I've ever heard either of those before. Cruise to Harlem sounds like it could've been on 15 Big Ones with a nice Al lead.

the production on both sounds pretty Brian (especially the drums), except for the fact that the backing vocals would've been a lot louder.

I'm trying to make a Surf's Up music video using Brian's '66 piano performance for  Inside Pop + the promo footage for Friends. Here's the link to what I've done thus far (please ignore out of sync video and vocals - I'll have that much improved shortly!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=So9J109r4Ms&feature=player_embedded

Anyway, three questions.
1) Does anyone know if, for the above content, better quality video can be obtained? If anyone's got a link, or a place where I can find it, please, hit me up!
2) Was thinking of lowering the opacity during the third movement and placing clips of the boys singing the Good Vibrations bgvs through that Friends promo clip. Yay or nay?
3) For the first movement, I was thinking I'd use stock '60s opera/theatre footage at first, but it's harder to come by than I thought. Have any of you have any other ideas on what I could do there?

Thanks ^_^

Nice! That's a cool idea. I think theres video of at least half of the 1st movement. I'd look around the the full Leonard Bernstein special. Should be making the rounds online.

It's always fascinating (though often quite sad) to see footage of DW from the final years of his life. He looks way better here than in many photographs I've seen from that particular period of time.

I really haven't got a clue what's going on in this very recent Japanese TV show , but whatever is going on looks rather funny - A sketch about the true meaning of the song Sumahama ( i think/guess )
