Not sure if anyone has seen this clip of Brian in the studio singing 'I'm So Lonely', but if so does anyone know where it originated from?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB0APWy-Blw&feature=related

Think this might be an excerpt from a feature on UK TV Channel 4's shown The Tube, from 1985 (of course). I have the show on VHS somewhere but no VHS player and no means of transfer (of course!).

I've always been curious about that feature, I think it's one of very few Beach Boys related things of this nature I haven't seen on Youtube (this and Our Team), and if it's along the same vein as the KTSA doc I'd love to see it one day, (80's recording practices are fascinating, there was one with Peter Gabriel talking about the Fairlight CMI that I can watch over and over again and never get bored, they still had to use the ingenuity of the older school of production, but computers were beginning to creep in, which ties in with my love of old computers too  LOL).

There was more to the clip on youtbe. Brian and Landy talking and Steve Levine talking. Maybe it's still there

Writer David Felton reads an excerpt from his Rolling Stone interview with Brian Wilson, "The Healing of Brother Bri," circa 1976. The reading took place at the Berkshire Theatre Festival February 20, 2011.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmENsTTxDnA

A short interview with legendary songwriter/performer and Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson conducted on 11/9/2008 while Brian was promoting his "That Lucky Old Sun" tour. This aired on WFDU's That Modern Rock Show hosted by Ghosty.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That was great! Usually these kinds of mash ups work or they don't.

I know you've probably seen this, but I was just listening again, and it's so good! Smile would have taken over the world.

Thank you ! Where is this from ? And why can't they just leave the original live audio ? This mix of live and re-recording/studio recording sounds terrible

And what about WIBN ? Yu can't even hear all the voices and the music mix is flat. Hope this isn't anything they will put on the DVD in this form

Carl Wilson - Here and Now

Has anyone seen this film?
It seems very intimate, and beautiful.

Tons of cool interviews.

Fantastic ! Just yesterday I heard for the first time about that event and today I got to see some of it.
Looks like only one camera showed some of it. Or does anyone know if the whole thing was filmed for TV or something like that ?
