If that's the best Mike & Bruce can do, no sale.

What's wrong with that? It's a good performance. I only wish they would kick Stamos

This sounds like Mike singing part of H&V's verses. Don't remember hearing that before. Is it really him?

Yes it's legit, running a bit slow on YT but personally (at the right speed) my favorite version of the original SMiLE sessions. Mike and Brian trade off very well.

I like the Beatles a bit more than the Boys of Beach, I think Brian's band is the tops---really amazing. And finally, I'm liberal. That's it.

Some more videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9nKNC7-p3I

The Beach Boys perform on 4th of July weekend shortly after the release of their "Summer in Paradise" album in Saint Louis. Also present in addition to original members Mike Love, Alan Jardine and Carl Wilson were Bruce Johnston, Matt Jardine, Mike Kowalski, Ed Carter, Billy Hinsche and John Stamos. I'm unsure of the guy on the Saxophone.

Seems like a professional recording, which the user filmed from TV (or a big screen). Does anyone know? Would love to see a later show with Carl in good quality

Just 14 seconds of Mike and Bruce. Don't know the occasion

And whatever this is:

Never saw the interview clips being a part of this (after the song). Were they originally in the broadcast?

Yes, those interviews were originally in the broadcast.  The premiere was simulcast over WNEW-FM in the New York market & I recorded it to cassette.  I've got the interviews memorized because I listened to the tape in my car about a million times!

Interesting H&V-videos. The first one has a nice video which fits the song in places really well:

Don Costa's 1967 instrumental cover of 'Heroes and Villains'....This has most definitely been posted before (as I found it on the Uncanny section of SmileySmile Board)...but just in case some people missed it - it's a fantastic rendition:
