That is such a wonderful song! Don Henley also did a fine version...

Cool, list time - kudos to petsoundsnola.

1. Twist & Shout
2. Devil in Her Heart (could've said "Money" but the RS version is cut above it)
3. I Should Have Known Better (though I like the tracks kind of equally)
4. Rock & Roll Music (it was vote for either that or "No Reply")
5. Tell Me What You See (with "Help" being my favorite single by the Beatles in general. It's very interesting)
6. You Won't See Me
7. And Your Bird Can Sing/Eleanor Rigby
8. With A Little Help from My Friends
9. MMT - everything except "All You Need Is Love". Didn't like it then, don't now.
10. Piggies
11. Yellow Submarine
12. Here Comes the Sun
13. Get Back

Past Masters (Vol 2): Rain

Anthology 1: Ain't She Sweet
Great songs!

Meet the Beatles! - This Boy - I'm biased, cause this is my favorite to sing; you really have to put yourself into it when the middle section comes around
The Beatles' Second Album - Thank You Girl - I know it's not the best song on the album, but again, it's my favorite to play and sing
A Hard Days Night  - I Should Have Known Better
Something New - Anytime At All  - love the chord changes
The Beatles Story - WTF is this doing here?
Beatles '65 - I Feel Fine - the reverb drenched version; still the coolest riff ever
The Early Beatles - Twist and Shout
Beatles VI - I Don't Want to Spoil the Party - but I can't hit those high notes anymore without screeching!
Help! - Ticket to Ride
Rubber Soul - Girl
Yesterday and Today - Day Tripper - the other coolest riff in rock and roll
Revolver - Got to Get You Into My Life
Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
Magical Mystery Tour - I Am the Walrus
The Beatles - Martha My Dear
Yellow Submarine - Hey Bulldog
Abbey Road - Something
Hey Jude - Revolution
Let it Be - I Me Mine
Live at the BBC - Baby It's You
Anthology 1 - Free As A Bird
Anthology 2 - It's Only Love
Anthology 3 - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

I'll join:

Introducing The Beatles: Twist & Shout
Meet The Beatles!: Till There Was You
The Beatles' Second Album: I'll Get You (they did many good vocs together but there's sth. to write home about in the way they sing here)
A Hard Day's Night: I Should Have Known Better
Something New: Things We Said Today
Beatles '65: I Feel Fine
The Early Beatles: Twist & Shout
Beatles VI: Tell Me What You See
Help!: Help! (as I said, great single)
Rubber Soul: You Won't See Me
Yesterday and Today: We Can Work It Out
Revolver: Eleanor Rigby

The Beatles' Second Album - Thank You Girl - I know it's not the best song on the album, but again, it's my favorite to play and sing
It's my favorite as well. Sounds similar to "I'll Get You".

Quote
Beatles VI - I Don't Want to Spoil the Party
This has everything I like in a song. Yet I don't like it.

Quote
Yesterday and Today - Day Tripper - the other coolest riff in rock and roll
Revolver - Got to Get You Into My Life
The Beatles - Martha My Dear
Beg to differ. "Day Tripper" has standard rock & roll riff. It goes differently though, so you have a point. "Got to get you..." is big Russian favorite! Paul sang it in concert in Saint Petersburg - the reception was huge! "Martha...", like "Penny Lane", has this English cozy vibe. Paul's songs tend to give this impression.

White Album was tough to deal with. Re: "While My Guitar", I prefer the acoustic demo. Re: "Not A Second Time", I read the Rollings ripped "The Singer Not The Song" off it. There is vid of Peter Noone singing "In My Life" to some audience but before he tells that not only he & John were friends - he actually knew & met John's father Alfred. Go to youtube.
"The Long & Winding Road" is real bore. I agree with Paul that Phil Spector ruined "Let It Be" with excessive orchestration.
Glad some of you chose "And Your Bird Can Sing". In my Top 10.

And Your Bird Can Sing is a cool song with a guitar line I will never be able to play!
I've seen that video of Peter Noone. Great guy, I've met him several times, I don't think anyone else loves his fans more than Mr. Noone (you probably knew that Paul wrote a song For Noone.....for no one...)

The funny thing about that McCartney quote is that, when he does The Long and Winding Road in concert, his live version sounds much more similar to the Let it Be version than the Let It Be...Naked version.

As for Guitar, I do like the demo too, but the album version with that Clapton solo is something special.  It's actually one of my all time favorite Beatles and Clapton moments.

Well then I agree with his younger self. What's your Top 10 White Album tracks, just for fun? Mine is:

1. Piggies
2. Martha My Dear (Slade did charming version of it)
3. Helter Skelter
4. Back in the USSR
5. Savoy Truffle
6. Don't Pass Me By
7. Wild Honey Pie (super weird but it's short)
8. Rocky Raccoon
9. Revolution 1
10. Cry Baby Cry

Can't stand "Me & My Monkey", "Revolution 9", "Happiness...", "Sadie", "Birthday", "I Will", "In the Road" & esp. annoying "Bungalow Bill". Why they feel the need to include wives & friends & various staff to sing? Tell them buzz off!

"And your bird..." has 2 guitars, that's why. My favorite Herman's Hermits song is "Henry VIII". It's very catchy. Peter Noone is Beach Boys fan. He was invited in a feature about Brian, with some other artists. It was shot in the 80s, Brian ca. Landy II era.
