For as many times as the band members did/said not very nice things to each other, the band and people within the band's circle also have done numerous peacemaking gestures over the years, perhaps in an attempt to smooth things over, or to make things better.

What are some examples you all can think of?

Here's what comes to mind for me:

- The “Getting’ Hungry” single credited to “Brian and Mike”

- The song “Male Ego” (could this have been an attempt by Brian/Mike to “laugh off” the problems of using the term “Ego” in a song title/lyric in 1966)?

- Mike naming his son Brian

- With Carl, a great many actions he did from the late '70s on seemed to be focused on keeping peace and smoothing things over, or trying to create an atmosphere where other peoples' clashes would be smoothed over

- Al being "allowed" to participate on Summer in Paradise

I wonder what Mike would have done if both Al and Carl refused to sing on Summer in Paradise? "You wanna do a solo album? Fine, it's all yours".  Grin

All you need is Foskett and Eichenberger, apparently.  Oh, well.
