Deeply saddened by the news from Orlando. So much goes on upon this planet that I cannot comprehend.

Thoughts with, and deepest condolences to all those affected. If I were the praying type, I'd be praying for the families, the friends, the innocent slain.

An excellent question.  Maybe watch what some of the politicians and news outlets are disseminating?  And then there are the internet sources of hatred.  It's an ugly, ugly cesspool, with a group of people in the US thinking that this psycho's access to armaments is crucial to their well-being -  their "Constitutional" right.  Duh, no.  It's a formula for just such an event.

So, any lunatic like this guy can go buy a military grade weapon that was specifically invented to kill people, and lots of them, and as quickly as possible, and that is okay.  But a person who buys, say, a couple of ounces of weed which can do no harm to anyone, can get 10 years in prison.  WTF?  Screw the NRA.  Screw Ted Nugent.  Screw Drumpf.  May God help us all.

It is an extreme tragedy and an outrage that this has happened.  How many more innocent people have to be killed?  I pray for the families of the victims.
