What jumps out at me is how poorly the bbs were promoted around the world. They used the same 1962 surfing picture till 1965 and than a smiling 1964 shot till 1967. No wonder the bbs had a hard time shaking their clean cut surfing image in the late 1960s.  Couldn't the label have acquired different up to date photos for each release? The Beatles were far better promoted
