IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!

Sheesh, this album's been in the cards forever, it seems. I'm sure Blondie will deliver in spades like he did on his self-titled and on the Skollie album.

Sadly.. It isn't "The Fragile Thread"  thats the CD thats been in limbo forever ( its Great IMHO)
but a totally new set of recordings by Blondie with Fig and Lentin.. so its Skollie all over again.

The interview on site makes it sound like he new one is a singer/songwriter CD as apposed to a big production this time...."TFT" was a big production CD , so its sad its not likely to ever get released

I've never heard the Skollie lp so I can't compare.

Since you're pimping your insider status (kidding, BTW), why is it taking so long for The Fragile Thread to come out? Why doesn't Blondie just release it over the internet?

sorry  not a insider.. just a fan who's kept his eyes on the 'net

I would speculate that "The Fragile Thread" never came out because all the major Record companies passed on it...

why would Blondie not release it himself over the net?  I don't think he's internet savy  .. like many near 60 year olds...

again.. I'm just speculating

I was kidding with the insider statement.

Hopefully Blondie will find some kind of deal before it turns into his own Mike Love, Not War and becomes a bootleg staple.

"Love You Til I Die" looks like a Fragile Thread song to me though. Too bad this one (together with the live version of 52 Letters, from The First Waltz video) will be the only track from Fragile Thread that gets an official release...I was lucky enough to have heard it some time ago, and it's too bad that albums like this stay in the can...and strange too, to say the least. With guests like Keith Richards, Ron Wood, Chuck Leavell, Morris Goldberg, and Skollie-buddies Anton Fig & Keith Lentin one simply can't imagine that there's no (major) company that sees any commercial success in it...
