I need your help, people! I'm currently preparing for a little Pet Sounds 50th anniversary celebration, and I'm in charge of drinks. I was trying to find out what have been some of Brian's favorite drinks through the years. Does anyone know? Rocky has mentioned Grasshoppers a couple of times, but I don't know if it's reliable information!

Brain wrote "Love and Mercy" really fast, in a rush of inspiration. He'd drunk a mini bottle of wine, white wine, and gotten a little buzz going, then he sat down at the piano, and out came Love and Mercy!

White wine is nice, but what if I want to prepare shots? I might try the Grasshopper after all...

3/4 oz green creme de menthe
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
3/4 oz vodka

Bruce mentioned somewhere that when recording Pet Sounds the boys frequented a Hollywod club called Luau, which served amazing Polynesian drinks. So you might wanna try something like that.

Beers were present when recording Party! and that was just before PS, so I'd say some average American beer should be fine.

I believe those were Brandy Alexander's Brian and VDP were enjoying; as they were a favorite of Harry's, there.

There was an interview where he said he'd stopped drinking Diet Coke and ordered Perrier, I think.

I had heard that for a while Brian was kind of addicted to Diet Rite cola, but something in it was interfering with his meds, so he switched to Diet Dr Pepper.
